It's pronounced "FUH."

construction on a new restaurant: "pho king"
tee hee
(note: I THOUGHT it was pronounced "fa," but I told my friend -whose dad is Vietnamese- and he said it's "fuh!" even better!

Horehound candies soothe your throat.
There's just something odd about that.

This one is really for my friend, Stella.

Lingerie for the Family

I saw this racy outfit in the window as I drove by. It was surrounded by g-strings and thongs. So I glanced at the sign to see what the store was. "Family Fashions," it says.

"GAYTAN PAINTING" van

"THIS TRUCK IS NOT DRIVEN SAFELY"
at least they're giving us a heads up...

trip to the zoo

It's actually pretty sad that our little zoo has to have a sign like this. But of course it made me laugh.

swamp rabbits!

Apparently these little guys live in my area. I have yet to see one- but the thought of seeing a rabbit hiding in a swamp with only it's nose poking out... well, it tickles me.

my trip to the craft store

I am much too easily amused...

poor, trusting, Elmo

The big yellow monster wants Elmo to unzip his banana. This must be in the back alley of Sesame Street.

Elementary, my dear

When I signed my daughter up for her new school, we spent about an hour sitting in the attendance lady's office. There was very little to look at, so I read the titles of all the books on the shelf. This one struck me as odd:

"cum folders"

I made my daughter (who I cropped out) stand in front of the case for a "new school" picture. We all know what I was really trying to photograph...

stole these from Katie

Perusing myspace the other day, I saw this first one on her page. When I went back to steal it, I saw the second one. Both were taken by her friends, and man are they funny...

This one is some sort of warning about a sea creature with giant testicles- er, I mean TENtacles...

I wonder who lives on this street?

don't let your mouth get knocked up

Alright, so if you look up the definition, "prophylactic" means "a preventative measure." But in this day and age, everyone assumes you are talking about birth-control.

Enter, the lovely wall paper from the crazy restaurant I used to work in:

EEEEWW!

(and FYI, I googled it and could find no evidence of such product...)

Toxic Gases

My husband and I were watching t.v. one evening, when he started laughing hysterically about the "info" screen that pulled up on the program we were about to watch.

"Uranus's Toxic Gases"

CRUNK!

Ok, so I admit I have no idea what "crunk" really means... I've heard it in passing from ridiculously dressed teenagers and also in a reference to drugs.

The word just seems so lame to me, which is why I couldn't resist laughing and taking pictures in this entertainment store:"Super Mario loves our crunk prices." Hahahaha!

recent sightings...

went on a little out of state trip this weekend. saw two things which made me laugh hysterically- but it was so dark out the pictures looked terrible. boo!

the first was this: a large billboard in front of a church just off the interstate.
it reads "Behold, I come quickly"
------------------------------------------------------------

and now for the kicker... imagine driving through the night: a long, boring highway in a relatively unpopulated area- passing time by reading the few neon signs you pass. What's that I see in the distance?

"F U"

"F U?" yes, that's what the huge neon lights say, "F U."
(the "E L" part was burned out.) our attempt at photography was thwarted by the darkness of the evening, but the gas station's message was loud and clear...

a few months ago...

man, woman, and small child dining at my table- seem totally normal. they leave, I go to collect the check binder from the table and find this:

Couldn't have added "work from home" or some other clue as to what he meant? No? So it's sex then? Yeah, that's class for you...

superjunk - ha!

supergirl stuff never ceases to amuse me...

These figures are all pretty cool, but the Super Virgin Mary
is, by far, the most awesome action figure ever.

There are websites devoted to finding old comic book frames and
covers featuring unintentional sexual innuendos or other out-right amusing things. One of my favorites is Superdickery. It abounds with examples of Superman acting like a jerk-face, Batman being gay, and features a lovely little section entitled "Seduction of the Innocent."

Funny Superhero Comic Book Covers also has some good ones. My favorites:

Supergirl gets splashed in the face with "golden rain."
Poor Spiderman gets violently ass-punched.
